I wanted to save my 100th post for a special summer recap, but putting it together is a bit more work than I can handle at the moment. So instead some equally awesome stuff.
I have a great internship! Huzzah!!!
A trip to a far away land is in the making!
Almost fully graduated!
I started a daily doodle blog, its called: 321 Draw!
And...
My Team and I participated in the KAFI 2009 Cartoon Challenge this past spring, and I even had some birthday awesomeness while I was there. Four days to make a 30sec PSA on a topic given at 8AM on the first day. Our result is below, not a winner but an fantastic experience none-the-less!
I saved a life as a Producer. Was given a heart-attack by Aubry. ...and painted some backgrounds, did music, and helped a little with character design.
Here's the evolution process of a character that didn't make it to the final 3 for my class at Gnomon this Summer. Initial sketch, value sketch with pose, and 4 ideas for different directions.
Hanging our with cool people and getting portfolio reviews by companies and artists that I look up to.
I forgot to throw this guy into my portfolio during reviews and I might as well put it here. He didn't take too long, and seeing how I was after prepping for SDCC I wasn't too surprised to be forgetful.
I've decided to write a little more per post, gets the juices flowing. So this year had only one downer, with a missing party animal, things were much calmer than normal. Other than that, the people were awesometastic and inspired me to kick my own ass and keep pushing through to compete with them. You want something bad enough, you do the work.
Plus, this is finally a representation of venom I like. So Tight!
